Description
Rwanda produces almost exclusively Arabica coffee, and 95% of this is a Bourbon variety. Today, new washing stations throughout the country have led to huge increases in income for local farmers. Coffee production also influences gender equality, as there are several new initiatives to supply women with skills, knowledge, and tools to become farmers.
Our Rwanda coffee has notes of cocoa, cane sugar, and black tea. It is a washed coffee with medium body and acidity. It is grown at an elevation of 1100-1200 meters above sea level by various smallholders throughout the country. The product is certified by the Rainforest Alliance. The beans are packed and sealed at their origin, and roasted locally in Boise, Idaho.
Coffee is roasted to order.
